Dark Matter divided the 2004 FLL Challenge into four sets of missions. Play Ball was the first mission and was done by means of a robot-activated mobile strategic object (MSO). While the MSO was delivering the eight balls to the basket, the second mission, Serve Dinner, was run. After Serve Dinner, the team ran a third set of missions including one chair, Put Away the CD, and Recover the Glasses. The fourth and final mission included Feed the Pets, Open the Gate, Read the Sign, another chair, and Climb the Stairs.
